Tankless Water Heater Installation
Coachella Valley · Rinnai · Navien · A.O. Smith · Bradford White · Permit-pulled, old unit hauled away
The brands we install most
Rinnai
Industry leader. RX, SE+, and Sensei series. The default recommendation for most residential installs — reliable, well-supported, parts widely stocked.
Navien
Condensing tankless with built-in recirculation — ideal for long-pipe-run desert homes where waiting for hot water is the actual complaint.
A.O. Smith
Best-in-class warranty, premium tank and tankless lines. The FC600 series is widely deployed locally and well-served by local parts supply.
Bradford White
Pro-grade tank water heaters — sold contractor-direct only, not at big-box stores. The default choice when a homeowner specifically asks for “the one the plumber would put in his own house.”

Why our tankless installs hold up in the desert
- Sized for your real demand. We calculate peak simultaneous flow (shower + dishwasher + laundry) and size the BTU output accordingly — not a rule-of-thumb by square footage.
- Softener strongly recommended. Coachella Valley water is brutal on tankless heat exchangers without softening. We’ll quote the softener cost up front so the math is honest before you commit to tankless.
- Permit-pulled and inspected. Every install signed off by the city or county building department. We don’t skip permits for a discount.
- Old unit hauled away the same trip — no garage clutter left behind.
- Manufacturer warranty registered for you so you don’t lose the warranty by missing the registration paperwork.

Tank vs. tankless — the honest comparison
For most desert homes over 2,000 sq ft, tankless wins on lifecycle cost — but only if the install is sized right AND the water is softened. We tell you up front when a tank replacement is the smarter call.

Frequently asked questions
Is tankless worth it in the desert?
For most homes over 2,000 sq ft with at least two bathrooms, yes — if you also soften the water. Hard-water mineral content shortens unsoftened tankless life dramatically. With a softener, tankless lasts 18–22 years vs. 8–12 for a tank. Without a softener, tankless can underperform a tank.
How long does a tank-to-tankless conversion take?
A like-for-like tankless install (when gas line and venting are adequate) is typically a half-day. A full conversion with new venting and an upsized gas line can be a full day. We give you a real ETA based on your specific install conditions, not a generic “a few hours.”
Do I need a bigger gas line?
Often yes — tankless units fire at much higher BTU than tanks, so the existing gas line may need upsizing. We measure during the estimate. Cost of the upsize is included in the written quote.
How does the warranty work?
Manufacturer warranties on the major brands run 12–15 years on the heat exchanger and 5–6 years on parts — if registered. We register your unit with the manufacturer at install. Anthem’s labor warranty is 1 year on the install. Heat-exchanger replacement during the warranty period is parts-only from the manufacturer; labor is on us during year 1 and standard labor rates after.
Will it really save money?
On energy bills, yes — tankless runs at 96%+ efficiency vs. ~62% for a standard tank, so most homes see a 25–40% reduction on the water-heating share of the gas bill. On total cost of ownership over 20 years, tankless with a softener wins by a meaningful margin. We’ll run the math against your real bills before you decide.
