Ductless Mini-Splits — Installation, Repair, Maintenance
Coachella Valley · Mitsubishi · Daikin · Fujitsu · Multi-zone, single-zone, and replacement
What we handle
Mini-Split Installation
Single-zone (one indoor head, one outdoor unit) and multi-zone (up to 8 indoor heads on one outdoor compressor). Casitas, additions, master suites, garage conversions. Permits pulled, condensate drained correctly, refrigerant lines properly insulated for desert sun exposure.
Multi-Zone Retrofits for Homes Without Ducts
Mid-century modern homes, vintage post-and-beam, and older Spanish-style homes frequently have no central ductwork. A 4-to-6-zone Mitsubishi multi-zone system delivers full climate control without tearing into ceilings or walls.
Repair & Service
Refrigerant leaks (R-410A or R-32), compressor failures, indoor-head fan motors, drain line clogs, control board failures. We service every brand we install plus Bryant, LG, Gree, and older Mitsubishi units.
Maintenance & Anthem Club
Twice-yearly filter and coil cleaning, refrigerant pressure check, condensate system flush. Anthem Club members get this on the standard maintenance schedule with no add-on charges for the mini-split unit.

Where mini-splits win in the Coachella Valley
- MCM homes without ducts. Twin Palms, Vista Las Palmas, Sunmor, Racquet Club Estates, Movie Colony — original architecture, minimal-to-no ductwork, ductless is the only non-destructive answer.
- Casita additions. Detached studio, pool house, or guest casita. Adding a zone to the main system is often impossible or expensive. A 1-zone mini-split is straightforward and self-contained.
- Garage conversions. When a garage becomes a bedroom, gym, or office, mini-split is the cleanest climate solution.
- Multi-zone luxury retrofits. When the existing central system can’t keep up with a casita add, a guest wing, or a converted basement, a multi-zone overlay handles the load without redoing the whole system.
- Vacation rentals. Per-room control means each guest can set their own comfort without fighting over a single thermostat.

Frequently asked questions
Is a mini-split right for my whole house, or just one room?
Depends. For a single room (casita, bedroom, garage conversion), single-zone is the obvious answer. For a whole house without existing ductwork, multi-zone (4-6 indoor heads on one outdoor unit) is often cheaper and faster than retrofitting ducts. For a house with adequate existing ducts, central air is usually still the better economic answer — mini-splits make sense for additions, not as a replacement for working central systems.
Which brand do you recommend?
Mitsubishi for most installs — widely supported in the desert, strong parts availability, well-understood by local techs. Daikin where the budget supports the premium tier. Fujitsu where a specific model matches a specific zone challenge. We’re a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, which means we’ve completed Mitsubishi’s advanced installer training and offer their extended warranty options.
How long does a mini-split install take?
Single-zone install is typically half a day. Multi-zone (4-6 indoor heads) is 1-2 days depending on routing complexity. Casita installs where the outdoor unit needs a separate disconnect and gas-line work can be 2 days.
What about efficiency in 115-degree desert summers?
Modern inverter-driven mini-splits run efficiently up to about 118 degrees ambient. Above that, all HVAC systems lose efficiency — mini-splits don’t have a unique disadvantage. The bigger issue at extreme high temps is correct refrigerant charge and proper outdoor-unit placement (shaded, well-ventilated).
Do you service mini-splits installed by other contractors?
Yes — Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, Bryant, LG, and most major brands. We don’t refuse warranty diagnostics on systems we didn’t install.
